2016 NIKE臺灣青棒菁英訓練營於今日(12/6)展開，來自全國40位優秀青棒選手，在訓練營總監Darren Fenster 、客座教練野茂英雄、以及主要教練群Dave Turgeon、王建民、林恩宇、曹竣崵、胡金龍、林哲瑄、林琨瀚、張正偉、張進德、胡智為、林子偉以及Micky Jiang的指導下，進行為期四天的密集棒球訓練。
王建民表示：「即使對大聯盟的職業球隊來說，基本動作也是最重要的；透過這個訓練營也希望能傳承過去比賽上的經驗、將自己一路的過程分享給學員。」
野茂英雄說：「在這次的訓練營中，期待透過密切觀察學員動作，給予更適合個人的建議，讓學員們在結束後都能有所收穫。」
胡智為則認為：「希望透過這次機會也能從其他前輩身上吸取經驗，讓自己更精進。」
